They had a great deal to fear. I’m not joking one bit. At the time I promised to work on the other age categories for the brown draconomicln, as well as stat blocks for the gray dragon and purple dragon which had been released in the same book. They can be friend or foe, mentors, or part of the party. Which ones are hits and which misses will largely be a matter of taste, but I am rather fond of several new varieties of dracolich.
First there are a couple introductory paragraphs that often include interesting hooks or history that may be of use beyond the lair itself.

I would have preferred it if they had mixed up the format a little, though. The 3rd edition version of the Draconomicon contains information about dragon physiology and psychology, along with new dragon-only feats, spells, and prestige classes. Just out of curiosity, is there any information on good-aligned dragons? The best of a solid, if unexceptional, group of artifacts is the Blue Orb of Dragonkind, while the rituals focus on defending a home base, and getting around when you are larger than most whales.

This is precisely what I, as a DM, want from a supplement. It provided stat blocks for various elemental dragons, and dragons of other planes such as the Feywild, and a host of other near-draconic or almost-draconic creatures as well.
